Sourced from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, Rhassoul clay has been used for hundreds of years as a natural beautifier.
Rhassoul is a light brown clay with wonderful exfoliating, cleansing and detoxifying properties. It is also highly nourishing, thanks to its high mineral content and unique composition that includes Silica, Magnesium, Potassium and Calcium.
Because Rhassoul clay has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-microbial and antiseptic qualities, it is a great skin cleanser and can be used not only as a mask, but daily as a face wash. The regular use of Rhassoul clay may help to improve the appearance of skin troubled by Eczema, Psoriasis, Acne and Rosacea.

Sun-dried rhassoul clay.

To use as a face mask: Blend one to two teaspoons of Rhassoul clay and enough water (or floral water) to make a creamy face mask. Apply to clean face. Don't let the mask dry out - apply a moistened cloth or sponge over the face regularly to keep the mask damp. Leave for about 5 to 10 minutes. If the skin looks inflamed after the first application, don't worry, this is just a detox symptom and a is good sign! Apply the mask once a week.

To use as a cleanser: Mix one to two teaspoons of clay with water to form a paste. Apply to the face, massaging in circular motions for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
